Turn the picture upside down. Can you see a difference? Now consider Jesus; and ask yourself this: Why do we say, "show us God, then we'll believe?"

"Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. But now in these final days he has spoken to us through his Son ... The Son reflects God's own glory, and everything about him represents God exactly."
(Hebrews 1:1-3 Living)

This quotation from the Bible and other similar passages make us realize that the key to understanding God and the Christian faith is Jesus Christ!

Two men once sat in a train discussing the life of Christ. They were high-ranking military officers and both were well-known atheists.

One of them said, "I think an interesting fictional novel could be written about him." The other replied, "and you are just the man to write it. Why don't you tear down the prevailing sentiment about his so-called divinity, and paint him as a man - simply a man among men."

The suggestion was acted upon and a romantic novel written. The man who made the suggestion was Colonel Ingersoll, the writer was General Lew Wallace and the book became the best selling classic, 'Ben Hur.'

In the process of constructing the life of Christ, General Wallace found himself facing the greatest life ever lived on earth. The more he studied, the more he became convinced Christ was no ordinary man. His book turned out very different to what was originally intended and Wallace discovered the real Jesus. He had accidently found the key.

"WHO ACTUALLY IS JESUS CHRIST?"

"Since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse."
(Romans 1:20 NKJV)

When Pilate was presiding over Jesus court case he became very afraid. "Where are you from," He asked.

The crowds were shouting in the courtyard and demanding his execution. In the meantime his wife had rushed a note into the session. "Leave that innocent man alone," she said, "because I had a terrible nightmare about him last night."

Jesus stood in the dock, his name and address and charges, plus all the usual details laid before the court, yet it is Pilate who is the one that's afraid and his unusual question seems to be asking, where do you really come from?

On another occasion Jesus was driving out a demon. The demon began shrieking that he knew who Jesus was. Jesus commanded him to be silent, otherwise he would have screamed the house down. But clearly he had recognized Jesus for who he was. The disciples did not forget in a hurry either. They were quite shocked, and several people wrote it down.

"WHAT OTHER PEOPLE SAID ABOUT HIM?"

"Some of them said, 'By Beelzebub, the prince of demons, he is driving out demons.' Others tested him by asking for a sign from heaven."
(Luke 11:15 NIV)
